This piece’s glossy minimalistic appearance can be very pleasing to look at, but there’s a lot more to uncover than just the esthetics. The necklace’s complex link structure is called a Byzantine chain. It’s comprised of different sets of links and is individually handcrafted.

The main idea of a Byzantine chain, apart from striking looks, is its strength. Links shaped in this way can withstand a lot more force applied on them than standard links.

Crafted in sterling silver the necklace will not rust if it comes in contact with water. Most importantly, it’s the strongest kind of silver that can withstand accidental pulls and keep the structure intact.

Lobster clasp is cast in a signature Varvatos style with a skull on the tip and two kettlebell beads connecting it to the chain.
